Setup was super simple...once the Flint 3 powered up, I plugged in a computer and a web page popped up and walked us through setting up the admin user for the router and configuring the Wi-Fi.

This is purpose built for exactly what I'm trying to do. A lightweight travel router that can give my family access to Wi-Fi without reconnecting all their devices and making it secure.

You can even connect a VPN to this router to protect all your devices, and you still get up to 1100Mbps speeds.

Even just by yourself, you could configure this as an OpenVPN or WireGuard client for your work's VPN, and then when you connect to it, it's kind of like you're at the office.

I didn't even know that I needed one of these, but if you ever stay in hotels or travel on cruise ships or airplanes you need one too.

The combination of a VPN home router and a VPN travel router is not something that I thought I would find this fascinating...I will definitely be travelling with this moving forward

If you're on the road and you need to access resources in your home network, the absolute best way to do that is with a VPN. And that can be made easier with router solutions from AFI WIRELESS.

It doesn't have buffer bloat which is really good to see... latency figures are pretty much the same... when the router is loaded or not.

I don't know why these things(Beryl AX) are called travel routers cuz they're basically just baby routers with load of features at a decent price.
